Community reading celebrates publishing of annual literary review tonight at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ
The ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ community is invited to share their own original poetry and hear from the contributors of the recently launched, Temper, ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ's annual literary review which features the original works of students. The closing event for National Poetry Month takes place tonight, 7 p.m., at the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ's Liberal Arts Building Atrium.
Temper is an annual literary review committed to providing the students of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ with the opportunity to mingle with the literary community at large. Temper provides publishing opportunities to creative writers in the early stages of their careers. Temper began in 1971 and for the first time this year the literary review was published solely in digital format.
National Poetry Month is the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K-12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, literary events curators, publishers, bloggers, and, of course, poets marking poetry's important place in our culture and our lives.
